Welcome to Gecko Valley
Just another beautiful sunset at Gecko Valley Winery

Gecko Valley offers a true visitor experience and makes a significant contribution to the Gladstone Region tourism industry. This environmental oasis is on the outskirts of Gladstone and is part of the “Green Belt Zone of Gladstone”. We are located 550 km north of Brisbane, and 100 km south of Rockhampton.
Overlooking the vineyards is the beautiful air-conditioned ‘wine tasting’ building (designed by Kingfisher Bay resort architects Guymer Bailey), later complemented by our Rose Garden Café and the Lazy Lizard Gallery. The Rose Garden café serves innovative Mediterranean inspired gourmet dishes and a delightfully rich but mellow special blend of 5 Senses 100% Arabica coffee since August 2014. Relaxation, beauty and the healthy outdoors is the Central Queensland way of life, and Gecko Valley follows this theme. There is something at Gecko Valley for everyone and it all overlaps – landform and beauty translates into tastes and mood, visual beauty, and art. There is nothing more beautiful than for the International and Australian tourists to see Pretty Face Wallabies and their joey’s grazing outside in the Rose Garden Café as they are enjoying their lunch or coffee, or to see the vineyard in fog on their walk from the Tondoon Botanical Gardens. The Gallery is home to the works of acclaimed CQ abstract realist wildlife artist Margaret Worthington, and artistic designer jeweller Miranda Manifold, specialising in Central Queensland gem stones. Walking trails through from the Botanical Gardens and Round Gladstone Trail give access to the abundant wildlife, and make a totally relaxing visitor tourism experience. Gecko Valley is proud to be a member of GAPDL, Gladstone Festival and Events, Queensland Wine Federation, Land for Wildlife, to name just a few. |
